As not all beans cook at the same, and you will learn more about that later, but first, why use dried beans instead of canned beans.

Don’t get me wrong, we use canned beans, but to save money, we buy dried beans, and for some reason, they taste better.

In Puerto Rican food, we love our beans, and I remember my grandma using dried beans instead of canned beans more.

When I make my Instant Pot dried beans I saved them for soups and for other recipes that required beans.

How long does it take to cook dried beans in an instant pot?

For this recipe, we used pink beans, Goya brand, and we pressured them for about 25 minutes and let it natural release, which took about 20 – 30 minutes.

Many times, and depending on the beans you will manual pressure cook them for up to 45 minutes.

For my beans, I canned them and used them for Puerto Rican beans and other recipes and soup. If you plan on eating them right away, I will recommend going to 30 minutes instead of my 25 minutes.
