How to make Instant Pot Pulled Pork Chili

Now that you have gathered your ingredients, it is time to make Instant Pot Pulled Pork Chili. All you have to do is follow the steps below:

Cut the pork loin into smaller pieces, salt and pepper them, and set them aside.

Press the Sauté button on your Instant Pot and add the olive oil.

Once your Instant Pot is heated brown the pork. For this process, you might not be able to brown all pork simultaneously—Brown pork for about 3 minutes on each side. If you overcrowd the pan, the meat will not brown.

Remove the pork loin and set it aside.

Add the onions and sauté for about 3 minutes.

Add the jalapenos, and if the Instant Pot liner is dry, add a little bit of the broth. Stir for about 2 minutes or until onions are translucent.

Next, add the crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, chiles, broth, cumin, oregano, smoked paprika, and pepper and salt to taste.

Add the pork loin pieces to the Instant Pot.

Close the lid of the Instant Pot and turn the knob to Sealing.

Cancel Sauté and press Pressure Cooker for 20 minutes. This process will take a bit longer and once the Instant Pot is done, allow it to Natural Release, estimated time of 20 – 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, you can do a quick release to your Instant Pot, and after all the steam is out, carefully remove the lid. Then, using forks, pull apart the pork.

Next, add the chili beans and pinto beans and stir.

Close the Instant Pot, press the Pressure Cooker button, and press 4 minutes. Make sure that the valve is back to Sealing. This is to cook the beans, a process that if you are doing this using a slow cooker will come thirty minutes to an hour before the pulled pork chili is done.

Allow the Instant Pot to Natural Release for about 10 minutes or when you desire.

Carefully remove the lid and stir.

Your Instant Pot Pulled Pork Chili is ready to serve!
