Last week, I wrote about steps to help you with your broke mindset, and I touched on the topic of turning that broke mindset into a wealthy mindset. Today, I want to go over what a wealthy mindset is, what we gain from it, and the benefits of having this mindset.

When we say the word wealthy, right away our minds think of money and power. The truth is that defining what wealth is to you, is very important.

For some many people having the right mindset when it comes to their finances is important. Not because having a wealthy mindset means you will be rich, but it defines how you succeed on your financial journey.

To be honest, wealth is a mindset, just like a broke mindset. A wealth mindset better than a broke mindset is that it will help you reach your financial goals.

A broke mindset is just lacking; it’s limited and full of negativity; therefore, it’s not helping you achieve anything.

A wealthy mindset is key to killing debt and growing your wealth. Learn how you can create a wealthy mindset to help your finances.

When you have a broke mindset, you have a broke mindset about life, and you have no accountability. You are surrounded with people with broke mindsets as well and therefore, having a broke mindset is the norm.

Negativity gets you nowhere; it is time to switch that broke mindset into a wealthy mindset.

Let me give you an example of how a broke mindset person works vs. a wealthy minded person. A few years ago, I received a large sum of money. What did I do with that amount of money? I spent it all to the point where that money was gone in a matter of weeks.

My broke mindset decided to spend that money on the most unwise way.

Fast forward to now, the wealthy mindset of mine would have saved, invested, and given. During that time, long ago, I found my spending justifiable. No one to advise me, or a possible influence to lead me.

I was surrounded with people who allowed me to continue to spend it. No matter how much money I would have received, I would have spent it all because I was programmed to do it. I didn’t know how to manage my money; I viewed money differently.

You can’t go back and change what you have done, but you can change today, mis amigos.

Today is what matters, and you matter. I will show you significant steps to turn that broke mindset of yours into a wealthy mindset. You will start seeing the positive, so you can succeed financially and live life to the fullest.

7 Steps To Creating A Wealthy Mindset

Stop dreaming and start living

Quit dreaming on that lottery winning that will never happen. If you want something so bad all you have to do is work hard for it. Is not going to appear or happen magically.

Believe in your dreams, realistic dreams. Dreaming of someday winning the lottery so you don’t have to worry about money is not going to help you. Having a broke mindset and money equals disaster.

With the right mindset, you will succeed; with a broken one, you will fail – simple as that.

Change your mindset - We all know that having a broke mindset will get us nowhere. Now it's time to change and start creating a wealthy mindset to help us succeed financially.Believe in yourself

You need to stop letting yourself down and start taking care of yourself.

Learn to manage your money

To succeed financially, you have to learn how to manage your money. No matter how small your income is, learning to take control of your finances is important. If you can’t manage your money with a low income, you won’t be able to manage any size income.

Eliminate all excuses

One thing I learned about myself, and the reason why money was a major issue in my life, was because I found excuses for everything. I found excuses for why I was broke. I found excuses for my spending. I found excuses for everything.

In order for me to succeed and start taking charge of my finances, I had to give up finding excuses and go for it. Excuses were obstacles when it came to my goals; whether they were financial or personal goals, they simply got in my way of achieving my goals.

Educate yourself

Educate yourself and stop believing the hype. Got a question, need an answer, need help on how to take control of your finances? Educate yourself.

Knowledge is power, and this is so true when it comes to your finances. When I was in such a broke mindset, I lacked education. I did not have the knowledge of finances and living well.

Even now, knowing new things keeps me motivated on my journey; for that reason, to change your broke mindset into a wealthy one, educating yourself is key.

Expect problems always

Wouldn’t it be perfect if life didn’t throw us curves? Car breaks down, illness, house fire (this happened to me); life is full of surprises. Some good and some bad, for these reasons you have to be prepared for it. You have to be prepared and expect problems.

With this comes courage, you have to have the courage to face these unexpected difficulties with a clear mind so you can move on. The car breaks down; you have a clear plan on solving this issue. Having money saved would be a way to address this problem; because you anticipated a problem and saved money, you were able to take care of it.

You need to have to courage to face problems the right way and continue with your financial journey.

Don’t settle for less

Stop being content with being broke. It doesn’t have to be this way, and you know it deep down. If you are making $10/hour at work, and you are not happy, create a plan and find a way to make more.

Want a bigger house, work for it. Stop settling for less than what you want and work for it. There’s nothing wrong with wanting more and working for it.

Having a broke mindset doesn’t mean you are a bad person, doesn’t mean that it won’t happen to you.

A mindset can be changed, and once you change that broke mindset of yours into a wealthy mindset, not only will your finances change, but your views and the way you live life will change.

We can always dream of winning the lottery in the future, but we can start living wealthy today. There’s nothing more enjoyable than enjoying the life you set for yourself.

Be different, focus on opportunities, and commit to your financial journey and you will be successful.

I love this post! I know many people that are stuck in the “woe is me” mindset and just complain about their money situation. I totally agree with your advice to stop making excuses and instead do something about it.

Thank you Kristina. Sadly, this was my way of thinking about my finances. The good thing is that we can change.
