Do I need Sazon or Sofrito for this recipe?

Yes, you do need Sazon or sofrito for this recipe. It’s what makes this a Puerto Rican recipe!

For this recipe, you are going to need Sofrito and Sazon, and if you don’t have sofrito you can find the recipe here or purchase it!

You can make homemade Sazon seasoning recipe MSG-free, gluten-free, filler ingredient free, and salt and sugar-free when you follow this sazon recipe.

I don’t have sofrito what can I do?

If you don’t have sofrito the best thing I can tell you to do is to use half a cup of onions (chopped) and fresh cilantro.

In the saute mode of your Instant Pot, add a little bit of oil and add the onion and cilantro and saute them until they are tender.

This should give your rice a “sofrito” flavored. Once this is done, add the other ingredients of this recipe.
