Some people like to freeze their quesadillas, but you'll need to wrap them tightly in plastic wrap or place them inside a freezer-safe bag. This will help prevent the filling from leaking all over your other frozen goods!

How do you defrost peanut butter and jelly quesadillas?

To defrost them, remove them from the freezer and leave them out at room temperature for about 30 minutes. You can also microwave them, but the quesadilla won't have that crispy texture anymore.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Quesadilla Recipe

To make this recipe you are going to need the following ingredients:

  • Peanut butter – we prefer creamy
  • Favorite jelly – we used strawberry (or try some of the other flavors in our recipe guide!)
  • Tortilla – you can use whole wheat or corn tortilla
  • Fat-free yogurt or Greek yogurt – optional but recommended for a healthier option!
  • Butter – optional

Instructions:

Heat a skillet over medium. You can add butter and melt it if you want. We didn't use butter today.

Spread peanut butter on one side of the tortilla, top with jelly, and fold in half. Make sure to seal the edges together carefully.

In the skillet, place folded tortilla and heat on each side for about two minutes until lightly browned and warmed all the way through.

Slice into wedges or squares (any shape you desire) to serve!

Makes: Serves one quesadilla – can be doubled or tripled depending on how many you want to make at once!

Serving Size: Four mini-quesadillas per serving as part of an appetizer plate OR

One large quesadilla meal that should satisfy most adults as their main course dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon of favorite jelly
  • 1 tortilla
  • 1/3 cup of Fat-free yogurt or Greek yogurt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium and add the butter. (If you are not using butter, then skip the butter and wait for the skillet to heat up)
  2. Apply the peanut butter and jelly to one side of your tortilla.
  3. Fold the tortilla in half and place it in the skillet.
  4. In the skillet, place folded tortilla and heat 2 minutes on each side until lightly brown.
  5. Remove from skillet.
  6. Slice into wedges.
  7. Serve!

Notes

You can use yogurt as a dipping sauce.
