Instant Pot Sopa De Carne / Puerto Rican Beef Soup

Step 1 – First add the sofrito, sazon, tomato sauce, diced tomato, beef broth salt, and pepper to the instant pot or instant pressure cooker. Secure the lid and set the valve to the pressure setting.

Step 2 – Press Manual setting (if your instant pressure cooker doesn’t have manual set to meat) and adjust to high pressure and set time for 45 minutes. Now I enjoy my meat to be incredibly tender so keep this in mind.

Step 3 – After this is done allow the meat to rest for about 10 minutes before quickly releasing the pressure manually. This means you are going to turn the valve if you are new to using an IP.

Step 4 – Remove the lid and stir.

Step 5 – Add the rest of the ingredients and make sure that you don’t pass the maximum line that its shown inside your instant pot cooker.

Step 6 – Hit manual again, if you don’t have manual hit the soup button and set the time for about 15 minutes. This will give you super tender veggies; please adjust to your preference.

Step 7- Let it sit for about 10 minutes before releasing pressure.

Step 8- Serve!
