Preparing the caramel

  1. Add the sugar and water into a microwave safe glass container. 
  2. Place the container inside the microwave and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes (high) until the sugar turns into a golden syrup.
  3. Carefully pour the sugar mixture to the baking pot and swirl to make sure the caramel coats the bottom of the pan.
  4. Set aside.
